Open door Parent-Teacher meetings for Grade II-V were held on 19th and 20th of September 2017, in presence of the honourable Managing Director, honourable Principal, Senior Coordinator, Junior Coordinators and Class Teachers. An agenda of the meeting was provided to each parent. The agenda emphasized on the policies of the school, education system and also awareness of the security issues.
Honourable Principal, Dr. Jinnat Ali explained how lesson dissemination of each individual teacher is monitored regularly and how copies are cross-checked to minimize checking errors. He also highlighted on why and how extempore speech classes are conducted subject-wise. Teachers demonstrated presentation on their subjective topics. Parents were requested to regularly check the diaries for the subjective instructions on whether to send books or not in the following class in order to maintain a healthy weight of the school bag. General instructions were given to parents for monitoring and restricting internet access to the students.
Later, parents were given the floor for their enquiries and their valuable suggestions. The overall feedback from the parents was very positive. They have appreciated the teaching system of the school and shared a few suggestions for the betterment of the school which includes introducing self-defense class like judo or karate, more handwriting classes for Grade II & III and smaller school diaries for weight management of the school bags. Parents have requested to reconsider the issue of re-test for the students who has valid reasons for being absent and they have also suggested focusing on moral lessons in the conversation classes. Although only one parent showed her dissatisfaction on the penalty for the frequent late-comers, most of the parents appreciated it and suggested to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of the school.
The meetings were concluded with plausible solutions and assurances from the school Principal.
