As soon as winter knocks at our doors, the misty surrounding is filled with the rich aroma of freshly made piping hot pithas – a traditional winter delicacy enjoyed by people of all age groups. “Pitha Utshob” is a traditional annual winter festival of our Bangladeshi culture. It was arranged by pre-school on 5th February, 2018. “Pitha Puli” is part of life and culture of the Bengali and Bangladeshi people and we make the students acquainted with the traditional Bangla food and cuisine of through this festival.
The event was inaugurated by our Managing Director, Mr. S. M. Mofizur Rahman, our Principal, Dr. M. Jinnat Ali and followed by all the Coordinators of our school. The tiny tots of KG I imparted their knowledge about the variety of pithas, the ingredients required in the preparation and the task that is required behind the making of this exquisite Bangla winter delicacy with the audience. A folk song and a folk dance respectively, were performed by the budding students of KG II. Later on, all our guests attended the display of the Pithas brought by the students and enjoyed the presentation.
The students of Preschool were taken around to have a look at the display of pithas and array of various items depicting Bangla culture and heritage. It gave the students immense pleasure to identify and taste this unique kind of food of Bangladesh.
